![]() Boasting 140 songs, it’s more than enough content from all the games.but they use the original songs instead of the rearranged versions from the Final Mix versions. It also includes some Disney songs like “A Whole New World” from Aladdin and (probably by contract/ gunpoint) “Let It Go” from Frozen. It includes such classics as “Vector of the Heavens”, “One Winged Angel”, “The Other Promise” and “Rage Awakened”. However, most people would buy a game like this for its music rather than its story - which is obvious in hindsight since Kingdom Hearts has amazing music. If all else, you’re better off watching the ending cutscenes on YouTube and it won’t hurt your experience if you’re a longtime fan. If you’re a new fan who wants to dive in, while cheaper, you’re better off playing all the other games since the recap skips some details about the story. This would be fine if they didn’t release about a dozen remasters of the previous games and even bundle them into an All-in-One package for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and not the Switch because that’s where I played this. ![]() Most of the game is a recap of all the previous games (except Kingdom Hearts Unchained X (chi) and Dark Road as they are still ongoing as of writing) and the new plot points are relegated to the end of the story mode. Kairi decides to put herself into a deep sleep for a year in order to find the clues to Sora’s location in her heart. Sora has disappeared after saving his close friend Kairi and all his friends have begun looking for him. The story takes place after Kingdom Hearts III and it’s Re:Mind DLC. From action RPG to a rhythm game that can only remind me of the Persona dancing games, I can safely say that it is.skippable but still a very enjoyable game for all. ![]() Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory is yet another (canon, cannot stress that enough) game in the Kingdom Hearts franchise and the first one post the Dark Seeker saga. And I love that.// Reviews // 20th Jan 2021 - 2 years ago // By Dylan Pamintuan Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory Review I’ll probably watch a cutscene comp on YouTube because I can’t actually afford the game and rhythm games are a weakness of mine. I probably won’t get the game itself, though. In conclusion, I believe that this game is going to be great, just going off of what I’ve played. Not to mention, despite it being harder to get used to due to me playing Project Diva a lot more recently, it seems like it’d be easier for people who’s only past experience within rhythm games is one of the many Guitar Hero titles to get stuck in the full version of the game once released. I haven’t played Guitar Hero in a little under a year now, and it’s nice to see KH embracing that form of rhythm. This layout was a wake-up call for me, and a refreshing one, too. Because, strictly speaking, Guitar Hero was and still is more popular than that series (sorry, Miku). In my opinion at least, it seems that the gameplay for Melody of Memory is borrowed heavily from or just simply inspired by Guitar Hero, rather than similar to Project Diva, which is extremely popular in Japan. The style of Melody of Memory is more reminiscent of Guitar Hero but with less Green Day and more Heartless. After all, I dont normally play rhythm games so idk if this is normal or not.įor Project Diva players, this will be quite a different experience in comparison. The two latter difficulties I am too scared to touch, I’m that bad at rhythm games.īut knowing some of you mad lads, I won’t be surprised if you clear this game entirely on Proud after getting used to the controls. Although, since this is KH, they are labelled as Beginner, Standard and Proud. ![]() The game offers three basic difficulties- easy, medium and hard. This is definitely the best Dearly Beloved so far, don’t me. Kairi really did say that she likes jazz. It’s exactly what is seen in the trailer, although the only characters playable within single player are the Trinity Trio.Īlso, might I add, the Dearly Beloved is mmmmm, even if I have listened to it nonstop since it was revealed. even if Hand in Hand is the only track I’ve been able to properly beat thus far (it’s the background music in UX - it’s practically engraved in my memory).
